If you are traveling with your pets, either domestically or internationally, Hoffman Animal Hospital wants to make travel as simple as possible. Our veterinarians are certified with the USDA to complete International Health Certificates with the aid of Capital Pet Mover.

We work with Capital Pet Movers to help facilitate the process of determining the requirements for each international travel destination, as well as collect documentation from previous veterinary hospitals if you have received vaccinations at more than one hospital. You can find more about their services here at: www.capitalpetmovers.com

Please start your planning process early, as every country has individual requirements, which may include blood work and holding periods. Almost all internationally traveling pets will need to be up to date on their rabies vaccine and have a valid 15-digit ISO microchip. You can find the full list of requirements for each country on the USDA APHIS website. It is ultimately up to you to make sure you have all the required documentation, vaccines, microchip, and the correct timing for your trip. Additionally, we cannot accept responsibility for any expenses if your travel is delayed or additional requirements are needed, but we will do all we can to assist you.
