friendly community events that HAH anticipates being in attendance in 2015.

Windsor Farm Elementary PTO Bull Roast
Saturday, March 7
The purchase of a ticket to this event at the Colombian Center in Severna Park not only benefits Windsor Farms Technology and Classroom Resources, but the ticket holder also gets to enjoy lots of great food, a silent and a live auction and live music. Sorry, pets (and children) are not allowed at this event.

Cape Saint Claire Elementary PTO 5k and Fun Run
Saturday, April 25
Hoffman Animal Hospital has been a sponsor of this event since its inception, now in its 13th year. The 5k runners face a challenging and picturesque course through Cape Saint Claire. For a more casual workout, there is a one-mile walk/run great for pets.
SPCA of Anne Arundel County Walk for the Animals
Sunday, May 3
The largest fundraiser for the Anne Arundel SPCA takes place at the beautiful Quiet Waters Park. About 2,000 people and 900 pets walk through the park raising the much-needed funds for their operations.
Cape Saint Claire Strawberry Festival
Saturday, June 6 (rain date Sunday, June 7)
This day of fun begins with some of the HAH staff and their pets “marching” in the Strawberry Festival parade from the firehouse to the main beach. If you think you and your pet might want to march with us, please e-mail us at
hoffman@hoffmanah.com. After the parade, the festival kicks into gear at the main beach with live music, K-9 demonstrations, and food. The strawberry is king here, with strawberries and cream and strawberry shortcake the featured foods. And in the beer garden you can get, you guessed it, strawberry daiquiris.
SPCA of Anne Arundel County Puppy Plunge
Sunday, August 23
This event at Camp Letts in Edgewater features live music, food, a dog bikini contest, and a puppy pie eating contest. Dogs can “plunge” into the river at Muscle Beach for the big dogs and the Petite Beach for the smaller ones. Unless they are Dr. Hoffman’s dogs, they want no parts of “plunging”.
Anne Arundel County Parks and Recreation Bark’n Dash
Friends of Quiet Waters Barkin’ Bash
Saturday, October 24
This event at Quiet Waters Park begins with a 5k run on the trails through the park. Then the event shifts to the bandshell area of the park for food, live music, and contests for dogs in categories like the best costume, most Annapolitan, and the best kisser.
